Two American talents will take the Champions League by storm on Tuesday.

Juventus started their season with a match against Dutch side PSV Eindhoven and USMNT star Weston McKennie played a starring role in their 3-1 victory.

Thiago Motta’s team took the lead after just 21 minutes through Kenan YΔ±ldΔ±z and then increased their lead again when McKennie headed the ball into the net from close range.

The midfielder scored his fifth Champions League goal and overtook DaMarcus Beasley in the list of US internationals with the most goals in the prestigious European competition.

McKennie has now scored goals in four different Champions League seasons and is gradually becoming a household name in Europe.

Only Milan striker and national team captain Christian Pulisic has scored more goals, with a total of eight. And his big moment came in the late kick-off times.

The Hershey native had plenty of space at the San Siro against Liverpool and caused the home fans to cheer when he shot the ball past Alisson into the far corner. The goal surprised the Premier League team and came after just three minutes.

It is Pulisic’s ninth contribution in the competition and his 30th goal contribution in all competitions for Milan (18 goals, 12 assists). No Serie A player has scored more goals than him since the start of last season.

What a night in Europe for the Americans so far!
