It can be difficult to find a styling routine that fits your budget. But in a recent video, TikToker Rocio Soria (@Rocio.Roses) shows how much you can save by switching to products from Walmart that work just as well but cost significantly less.

“My makeup look today is literally completely drugstore,” she tells viewers. “You don’t have to break the bank to look good.”

The very first item she pulls out is an item that is part of her everyday routine.

“The Wet n Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder in Banana is an exact copy of the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder in Honey,” she says.

For comparison, the expensive version of the product costs $47, while the counterfeit can be purchased at Walmart for about $6.

2. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil

Spending too much on makeup essentials is the quickest way to blow your budget. Instead of spending $25 on a name-brand eyeliner from Clinique or Lancome, you might want to opt for what Soria calls “the blackest eyeliner on the affordable market” that exceeds expectations.

“You have to look for this L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last line,” she says, holding up the eyeliner pencil. “It’s creamy and waterproof.” She adds that the product is available in 24-hour and 36-hour protection.

“It’s going to be hard to take off,” she admits. “But if that’s what you want – if you work night shifts – then this is for you.” It costs about $9 at Walmart.

3. Elf Whoa Glow SPF+ Makeup Primer

It’s no secret that using SPF is the foundation of any well-thought-out makeup routine. But just because it’s important doesn’t mean you have to spend too much on it.

“The Elf Whoa Glow SPF+ Makeup Primer is an exact copy of this one (points to a picture of Glow Screen) from Supergoop,” explains Soria.

This means you can get the same look at Walmart for just $14 instead of buying the more expensive Supergoop for $38.

Heritage Store rose water is another example of an everyday product that is proven to offer better value for money.

“Don’t spend $26 on Fresh Rose Hydration Mist when you can get this!” says Soria in her video.

“I’ve probably gone through five bottles of it,” she says. “I use it before makeup, after makeup. It’s less than $10 and you get about, what, eight fluid ounces?!”

She admits that while she “loves” the Fresh version, it “costs $26 for 3.3 fluid ounces.”

5. Eleven Liquid Poreless Putty Primer

Need a new primer that does the job and doesn’t cost too much? Soria recommends Elf’s Liquid Poreless Putty Primer.

“It’s a knockoff Tatcha Silk Canvas,” she explains, and retails at Walmart for just $10 instead of $24.

6. RoC Retinol Correxion Max Moisturizer

It may not be surprising that there are basic products for less money, but it can be harder to find similarly effective versions of expensive serums and creams. Fortunately, if you’re “in your 30s and want a moisturizer that firms, removes fine lines, and is ultra-rich, but don’t want to pay nearly $100,” Soria says, there is an option: RoC Retinol Correxion Max Hydration Cream.

“When I went to Coachella, this was the only moisturizer I took with me for the night and it saved my life,” she explains in her video.

She says the RoC version does everything the comparable Perricone MD High Potency Retinol Recovery Overnight Moisturizer does—except it costs $27 instead of $99.

7. Milani Make It Last Setting Spray

Anyone who puts a lot of time into their makeup wants to make sure that their hard work doesn’t get smudged, wiped off, or otherwise ruined. This is where a setting spray can come in handy.

“I compared the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray to the Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray,” Soria explains, pointing to an earlier video. She then shows a clip of the product in action, comparing the $10 Milani to the $38 “cult brand.” After 15 minutes, the setting sprays seem to offer the same protection against smudging.

8. L’Oreal Infallible Concealer

Buying a concealer from a well-known brand shouldn’t be a painful process. Luckily, Soria says there’s a good deal at Walmart.

“If you’re a Tarte fan, I totally understand. But if you just want to save some money, the L’Oreal Infallible Concealer is an exact copy of the Tarte Shape Tape,” she suggests.

So how much less will you pay? In this case, the cheaper copy online costs just $11, compared to $32 for the Tarte version.

9. Elf Lip Balm

Unlike other parts of your routine, keeping your lips looking good requires some TLC throughout the day, which is why Soria says you shouldn’t spend $19 on a tube of lip balm when you can get an effective imitation at Walmart for $4.

“If you love Laneige lip balm, you’ll love these,” she says, holding up tubes of Elf lip balm. “You get three for $12, are you serious?!”

“The yellow one – vanilla frosting – is my absolute favorite!” she adds.

10. Nyx can’t stop, won’t stop Shade Fair

Don’t settle for the overpriced product in your cart! If you know where to look, you can sometimes pay almost a fifth of the price for a comparable product.

“$48 for a pressed powder is insane!” Soria says in her video. She explains that the Nyx line “has more shades and I find they work even better than the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish.”

Specifically, she says she uses Nyx Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Shade Fair under her eyes, which only costs $10.

“You look incredibly flawless!” she enthuses.
