16-year-old girl claims she was kidnapped while entering a Brooklyn subway station

New York, NY — The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a person connected to a reported kidnapping in the 75th Precinct. The incident occurred around 3:07 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, a 16-year-old female victim sent a text message to a family member saying two unknown men had kidnapped her. She was last seen entering the Pitkin Avenue-Van Siclen Avenue subway station on the A and C lines at 2:57 p.m.

The victim is described as a woman with light skin, black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’2″ tall and weighs approximately 120 lbs. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, white sneakers and a gray handbag.

  • SWAT team finds dead couple in their home after shooting call

    Homestead, Pennsylvania — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a double homicide following a call for help in Homestead. At 4:14 p.m., the county’s 911 line received a report of shots fired at a residence in the 100 block of West 15th Avenue.

    Upon arrival, emergency responders found an adult male and an adult female dead inside the home. Homestead Police initially responded to the call about the shots fired and, after receiving no response from the home, requested the SWAT unit, believing a suspect might be inside the home.

    SWAT officers entered the apartment and discovered the victims. Detectives are currently conducting an investigation.

  • Burst water pipe leads to road closure in Clarkstown

    Clarkstown, New York — A major water main break near Old Mill Road has caused road closures and water service disruptions in several areas of Clarkstown. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. near the Veolia plant at 55 Old Mill Road.

    The 24-inch water main serves the communities of Bardonia, West Nyack, New City and part of Nanuet. Residents in these areas can expect water service interruptions for at least six hours starting at 2:00 a.m.

    Authorities have closed Old Mill Road due to flooding and are advising the public to avoid the area and use diversion routes. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
