2 men wanted for burglary that led to shooting in southwest Houston apartment

HOUSTON – Houston police say two men are wanted for their alleged involvement in a home invasion that resulted in a shooting in southwest Houston on July 26.

The wanted suspects, Dontarious Millender, 19, and Noah Humphries, 19, are charged with burglary with intent to commit a felony. They are still on the run, but previous mug shots have been released.

Another suspect, 18-year-old Laron Pijeaux, was also charged with burglary with intent to commit a felony and remains hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The break-in was reported around 11:10 p.m. at 10630 Beechnut St.

Upon arrival, a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds, later identified as Pijeaux. He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

As investigators learned, several masked and armed suspects kicked in an apartment door and began shooting.

Pijeaux, one of the suspects, was shot several times. The other suspects fled the scene.

Investigators consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and charges were filed against Pijeaux on July 28.

Further investigation and evidence identified Millender and Humphries as additional suspects in the case.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and both suspects were charged for their roles in the shooting. Millender, Humphries and at least three other unidentified suspects remain at large.
