3 teens arrested after Hudson tobacco store break-in – Boston News, Weather, Sports

HUDSON, MASS. (WHDH) – Three teenagers are facing criminal charges after a vehicle crashed through the front door of a Hudson tobacco store early Saturday morning and merchandise was stolen, authorities said.

According to Hudson Police Chief Richard P. DiPersio, officers responding to the activation of the burglar alarm at DAB Smoke Shop on Washington Street at approximately 3:30 a.m. found the front entrance of the store smashed in and issued an alert to be on the lookout for a vehicle with damage consistent with having been backed through the store entrance.

Shortly thereafter, an officer from the Marlboro Police Department radioed that a damaged vehicle had been discovered and that it had been stopped with the assistance of a state trooper working in the area.

After an investigation, a 15-year-old from Boston, a 16-year-old from Quincy and a 17-year-old from Danvers were arrested. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed stolen goods.

Two suspects were released on bail and the third was released to his guardians. They will be arraigned in Framingham Juvenile Court.

“This is an example of strong policing and is intended to send a message that break-ins and thefts will not be tolerated at our local businesses,” DiPersio said in a statement. “We have excellent relationships with our neighboring agencies and that teamwork was clearly on display early Saturday morning, resulting in the arrest of three juveniles in this brazen and brazen crime.”
