4 brand founders on the main stage at CREATE

Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN) is pleased to announce the four speakers who will take the stage as part of the Founders Forum at this year’s CREATE: The Event for Emerging Gastronomers.

The founders who will take the main stage at CREATE are:

  • Tim McEneryFounder and CEO, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants
  • Cameron MitchellFounder and CEO, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants
  • Nicole TannerFounder, Swig
  • Nicholas SteinFounder and CEO, Bluestone Lane

NRN Editor-in-Chief Sam Oches will moderate the Founders Forum session.

“We launched the Founders Forum last year to connect aspiring brand founders with leaders who know exactly what it’s like to build a company from the ground up,” said Oches. “These four founders are the perfect inspiration for CREATE attendees who are in the early stages of scaling their own companies, and they offer practical advice on how to navigate the challenges that come with the job.”

The founders of Sweetgreen, Crumbl Cookies and Postino WineCafe attended the first Founders Forum last year.

The Founders Forum session will be run like a late-night talk show, with guests joining Oches one by one until they are all on stage and talking together. Each founder will tell the story of how they started their company and talk about how they overcame the challenges they faced while growing.

“The speakers at this year’s Founders Forum represent an incredible variety of companies, from fine dining to fast-casual restaurants to pure drive-thru restaurants,” said Oches. “But they all have one thing in common: They’ve all been part of their company since day one and know exactly what it takes to make your dream company a success.”

CREATE will take place October 9-11 at the Omni Nashville Hotel. Restaurant managers can register for CREATE for free here.
