Big-Ass Slice Shop now open in the Food Court

The Big Ass Disc Shopa new restaurant in the Main Street Food & Beverage Food Hall, is now open. The pizza is “New York influenced” and served in extra-large slices with toppings ranging from classic pepperoni to Margherita to the Peachy Cooba-Ghoul, a mix of roasted peach slices, capicola salami, gorgonzola cheese and a honey balsamic coating.

Big-Ass Slice Shop is located in the Main Street Food & Beverage Food Hall at 900 Main St.

Grand opening of the Farmers Market at Goodwill

The Evansville Farmers Market will host a special pop-up market to celebrate the opening of the new Goodwill in Evansville Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, at Washington Square Mall. More than 20 local farms and small businesses will be on site, as well as food trucks, live entertainment and more.

Washington Square Mall is located at 4800 S. Green River Road.

Evansville Nacho Week

The first Evansville Nacho Week will take place from Sunday, August 25th to Saturday, August 31st. The opening event will take place on August 25th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Main Street Food and Beverage Market with a nacho eating contest. Potato Day at prime time

The Prime Time Pub & Grill in Newburgh is hosting a special National Potato Day event on Monday, August 19th at 11 a.m. Details have been kept under wraps, but if it’s prime time, you can be sure it’s a great time.

Pancakes for Reitz Wrestling

The Reitz wrestling club is organizing a Pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24th in Expansion joint events, meetings and gatherings There are pancakes to fill you up and coffee, orange juice and water can be purchased. Tickets are $11. The Kingdom Grounds coffee cart will be on site and 10% of the proceeds will go back to Reitz Wrestling. Funds raised will be used to support the new girls wrestling program, scholarships and a new wrestling mat.

Expansion Joint Events’ meeting and convention space is located at 1400 W. Maryland St.
