5 Restaurants Vice President Harris Should Have Tried in Phoenix

play

Last week, Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, were spotted buying tamales at Phoenix Mexican restaurant Cocina Adamex. The two were visiting the Valley as part of a campaign tour of swing states that included a rally in Glendale.

Located on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Taylor Street, Cocina Adamex is owned by Adriana Zapata and Alberto Sanchez. Last year, it rose to social media fame for its giant 10-inch-diameter concha, which serves 10 people and can be ordered with a giant 10-cup cup of coffee.

Mexican food in Phoenix seems to have become a tradition at campaign appearances. Harris previously dined at the now-closed Barrio Cafe in 2020 while campaigning with President Joe Biden.

However, with limited time between campaign stops, Harris and Walz were unable to try more of Phoenix’s best restaurants, although they might have liked to.

We asked you to tell us what other restaurants the Democratic candidate should have tried in Phoenix, and your answers did not disappoint.

Here are the top 5 restaurants recommended by readers to Vice President Harris.
