Authorities in South Carolina are searching for a “missing and endangered” Massachusetts man who disappeared while vacationing with his family.

Stanley Kotowski, 60, was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 16, near South Sea Pines Drive on Hilton Head Island, according to a news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

The Massachusetts man was seen leaving an apartment where he was vacationing with his family without a phone. The Island Package reported.

Stanley “did not take any personal items,” including his wallet and phone, authorities said. The 6-foot-tall man was last seen wearing a Coors Light T-shirt and shorts, but no shoes, and is said to have brown hair and eyes.

He was last seen leaving the house, according to an image from a Ring doorbell camera shared by the BCSO.

“We love him and we miss him. We just want him to come home,” his son Zak Kotowski told ABC affiliate WJCL. “You’re not in trouble, Dad. We love you.”

Jackie Kotowski, Stanley’s wife, told the outlet he “just walked out the door” of their vacation rental and never returned. She also said her husband had been having problems with insomnia and anxiety recently, but said “he doesn’t have dementia.”

“His anxiety was getting worse and worse and he was starting to get a little paranoid,” Jackie told WJCL.

According to BCSO, numerous resources are being used in the search for Stanley, including dog teams, helicopters, drones, boats and foot patrols.
