Which smartphones do tech billionaires use? iPhone, Android or another? Find out

Have you ever wondered if celebrities actually use the brands they endorse? Aren’t you sometimes curious if those responsible for all the technology the world uses actually use it themselves?

What cars does Tesla boss Elon Musk drive? Does Jeff Bezos rely on Alexa to find out the weather? What is Bill Gates’ favorite operating system? How does Mark Zuckerberg ensure data protection?

Well, we would all like to have a glimpse into the private lives of tech bosses, but not all information is publicly available.

However, every now and then, tech billionaires have revealed little details about what brand of smartphone they use, and you’re probably curious to know if you use the same brand. Check it out…

Bill Gates

The Microsoft co-founder keeps an iPhone on hand in case he wants to use it for any reason, but at all other times he has an everyday Android device. The iPhone device he uses is considered obsolete (until recently an iPhone 5S) and he uses it just to keep up to date with what a difference using an iPhone can make compared to an Android device.

Jeff Bezos

The owner and founder of Amazon used a Blackberry phone in 2012 and was last seen using a Samsung phone before launching Amazon’s Fire Phone. We don’t know what phone he currently uses.

Evan Spiegel

Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel is also an iPhone user. His current device is still unknown, but not long ago he revealed that he doesn’t use a case for his iPhone as he is very careful with his devices.

Elon Musk

Although the Tesla CEO has never openly admitted to using a specific brand of phones, he often mentioned the iPhone or iPad in his interviews. From this, one can conclude that he is indeed a fan of the iPhone, no matter which version it is.

Mark Zuckerberg

But of course, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg uses the iPhone and is believed to receive free iPhones from Apple from time to time due to his personal connections with many Apple executives. Although we wonder if the CEO of the world’s richest social media platform really needs these freebies!

Tim Cook

There are no prizes for guessing this sentence! The CEO of Apple exclusively uses iPhones and Apple products in general. He has been spotted several times using the latest iPhones in public. This is a real test of the trust you have in your own products! But it would be interesting to know what Tim Cook thinks about Android phones.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin

The co-founders of Google use a variety of Android phones. Sergey Brin used to have a Nexus phone, but now he probably carries the Google Pixel. The first phone Larry carried, however, was a Blackberry. Probably a Stanford EE380 version.

Travis Kalanick

The 43-year-old co-founder and former CEO of Uber was also often spotted using only an iPhone.

Sundar Pichai

Google CEO Sundar Pichai bought his first smartphone in 2006 and his very first phone, a Motorola StarTAC, in 1995. In a 2015 interview, Pichai said he has about 20 to 30 phones in his house. We assume most or all of these phones are made by Google, especially since he has occasionally raised privacy concerns with other brands.
