A graduate from Taunton plays in the Cape League

Josh Lajoie has fond memories of his childhood, visiting his grandmother in Falmouth during the summer and watching the Cape Cod Baseball League game.

Now the 23-year-old Taunton native and redshirt junior pitcher from Quinnipiac has been given the chance to play on that very stage with some of the best college baseball players in the country.

Taunton now has two Hockomock baseball championship teams.

The Taunton West Little League 8U All-Stars concluded their 2024 season in impressive fashion with a win at the 18th Annual SFC Jared C. Monti 8U Baseball Tournament in Raynham.

It was her third tournament win of the season.
