Julie Chen Moonves misses live eviction on “Big Brother” due to COVID-19

Julie Chen Moonves is on sick leave.

The TV personality and longtime host of “Big Brother” announced in an Instagram post on Thursday that she will not be present at tonight’s live episode about the eviction.

Moonves said she developed a sore throat on Friday and after consulting with a “good friend who is an ENT doctor,” it turned out she had contracted COVID-19. “Fortunately, this is only my second time and it’s very mild!” Moonves wrote. “No fever and just a sore throat.”

However, Moonves added that she still tested positive for the disease, forcing her to sit out the live episode of the CBS reality series.

“See? Chenbot is only human!” Moonves joked. “Love each other and enjoy the show tonight.”

But Moonves doesn’t let the “Big Brother” fans down.
