College GameDay is coming to town

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will broadcast live from Gamecock Park this weekend.

Location: GameDay will broadcast live from Tommy Suggs Garnet Way at Gamecock Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before moving to the sidelines of Williams-Brice Stadium for the final hour of the show.

Opening hours Saturday: Gamecock Park opens at 6 a.m. on GameDay and the ESPN GameDay Pit opens at 6:30 a.m.

Park: All Athletics-controlled parking lots (Gamecock Park, Woodstock and Armory) and all of LMC Fair Park will open at 6 a.m. to fans with a pre-purchased parking pass. All individual parking spaces on these lots are sold out for this game.

Commuter traffic: An early shuttle begins at 5:45 a.m. The shuttle makes three stops (Russell House, Colonial Life Arena and Campus Village). Students can ride the shuttle from any location for free. All other fans can ride the shuttle from Russell House or Colonial Life Arena for $5 per person. Parking is available in the Bull Street Garage and Lincoln Street lots for $20 per car. The early shuttle drops off fans at Gamecock Park. At 8 a.m., the early shuttle stops and the regular game day shuttle begins with three pick up stops (Colonial Life Arena, Russell House and Campus Village). The regular game day shuttle drops off fans at the fairgrounds.

Friday: Gamecock Park will be open throughout the day for fans who wish to stop by the ESPN College GameDay set. The set will also be the site of SportsCenter hits and the 4 p.m. College Football Live show on ESPN2 on Friday. All fans and vehicles must be out of Gamecock Park by 7 p.m.

Students: The first 600 students to arrive at Gamecock Park on Saturday will receive breakfast and a free T-shirt when the gates open at 6 a.m.
