Playboi Carti releases new track “ALL RED” and announces merch pre-orders ahead of third album

On Friday, which also marked Playboi Carti’s 29th birthday, the Atlanta rapper unveiled a new track titled “ALL RED” ahead of his highly anticipated third studio album, I AM MUSIC, which is set to be released “soon.”

Shortly before the release, Carti’s alternate Instagram account @opium_00pium was updated with a teaser post about the upcoming music. The caption read: “TONIGHT? ALL RED? ?”

Previously, Carti had also launched new merchandise, including box sets that could be pre-ordered to keep fans excited while they waited for the release of his long-awaited album.

The box sets include Playboi Carti logo hoodies, a t-shirt and a hat. According to the website, these box sets are scheduled to ship on April 18, 2025. A digital version of the album is also available for pre-order, with a note that “the digital release album will be delivered via email.”

The description continues: “The digital album will be available shortly before the release date, no later than six months after April 18, 2025.”

On Thursday, September 12, Carti nearly caused a stir among his fans when his social media accounts were updated with a post in which Blackhaine shouted, “‘Tonight there will be a new Carti announcement!'”

The announcement comes as fans eagerly await Carti’s third studio album, tentatively titled “I Am Music.” The “Type Shit” rapper hinted at the project – following 2020’s Whole Lotta Red – during his performance at the Splash! Music Festival in Chemnitz. After performing his Travis Scott collaboration “FE!N,” Carti assured fans that his third album was in the works.

“I promise you, the album is coming,” he told the crowd. “So it’s only right that I come here tonight and present you with a world premiere.”

He then played two new tracks: “All Red” and “G-Wagon”.

Although there is no official release date for “I Am Music” yet, according to Billboard, it is expected to be released by the end of the year.
