Records show he has been charged with six different counts of misconduct, including violent conduct and improper procedures. Torres has also been investigated for use of force at least 13 times.
Records also show that he has suffered his fair share of discipline over his decades-long career…receiving written reprimands as well as several suspensions – including a 20-day suspension in 2018.
It should be noted, however, that Torres has also received over two dozen awards during his tenure – including an award for professionalism in May 2023.
Torres is currently on administrative duties as MDPD officers have launched an investigation into his conduct during the traffic stop involving Hill outside Hard Rock Stadium last Sunday.

Hill claims Torres was too rough with him during the incident … and believed that these actions should have led to his dismissal. Torres’ representatives, meanwhile, argued that his behavior was justified due to Hill’s lack of cooperation at the crime scene – and demanded his reinstatement.
Hill received two tickets during the game – one for reckless driving and one for failure to wear a seatbelt. He has since played in both of the Dolphins’ games, recording 154 yards on 10 catches.
