Ahead of today’s Eye To Eye tour kickoff in Wilmington, North Carolina, My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have announced that the bands’ stop at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee will be a special Nugs.net livestream event benefitting the nonprofit organization HeadCount.
The livestream will take place on September 18 and 19 at the Ascend Amphitheater. Single-night livestreams start at $19.99, and there is a discount for two-night packages. The professional livestreams are available at nugs.net/headcount in 4K or HD, and fans can watch them live or on-demand on nugs.net with unlimited access through September 29. Fans will have on-demand access for 48 hours after playback starts. Net proceeds will benefit HeadCount, the “leading nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to using the power of music to register voters and encourage participation in democracy.”
The Eye To Eye 2024 tour includes equal-length sets from MMJ and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, with the bands switching up the order of their performances at each show. The co-headlining tour includes stops at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina; Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida; TD Pavilion at Mann in Philadelphia and Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In addition to working with HeadCount, the bands have partnered with nonprofit organization REVERB to reduce the tour’s environmental footprint. Today’s announcement states: “In addition to a comprehensive sustainability program for the tour and a Fan Action Village at each show, the bands will support REVERB’s Climate Portfolio, which funds projects that measurably reduce greenhouse gas emissions, advocate for climate justice, and directly decarbonize the music industry.
