Netflix wants to expand its live TV offering.

The streamer is in talks with BuzzFeed to air live versions of “Hot Ones,” Sean Evans’ popular YouTube talk series that puts celebrities in the hot seat by forcing them to answer questions while eating increasingly spicier chicken wings, a source confirmed to diversity.

Although no deals have been finalized yet, Netflix is ​​interested in having Evans host several live episodes of “Hot Ones” created specifically for Netflix, with a source stressing that negotiations are in the early stages.

“Hot Ones,” which has not only become one of the most-watched shows on YouTube but has also become a popular stop on celebrity press tours, has courted A-list celebs from Jennifer Lawrence to Paul Rudd to Margot Robbie. Recent episodes have featured Vince Vaughn, Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

When “Hot Ones,” currently streaming on Hulu, comes to Netflix in this new format, it will join the streamer’s growing library of live content, including sporting events like golf, tennis and boxing, a hot dog eating contest and comedy specials from the likes of Chris Rock and Joe Rogan. The streamer’s live events have been somewhat inconsistent in terms of viewership, but it recently found success with the offbeat talk series “Everybody’s in LA,” hosted by John Mulaney. Netflix will also soon add live wrestling programming as well as NFL games.
