Anna Moorhouse saved three shots to earn her fourth consecutive clean sheet as the Pride held the Kansas City Current to a scoreless draw on Friday, extending Orlando’s NWSL winning streak to a new record 21 games.

It was Moorhouse’s 11th clean sheet of the season and the seventh in their last eight games for the first-place Pride (14-0-6, 48 points). Orlando leads the league with the fewest goals conceded this season, 12. The Pride’s record unbeaten streak dates back to last season.

Third-place Current (11-3-6, 39 points) was looking for revenge for the Pride’s 2-1 win at Kansas City on July 6. Kansas City’s Temwa Chawinga’s eight-game goal streak, an NWSL record, came to an end.

Almuth Schult saved five shots for the Current, holding an opponent scoreless for the second time in three games this season. Schult, who is from Germany, signed with Kansas City in August.

In the 80th minute, Marta Orlando almost put the ball ahead with a left-footed shot from outside the box, but Schult saved with a diving shot near the left post.

Courage 1, Bay FC 1

Ashley Sanchez scored a first-half goal and the North Carolina Courage extended their home winning streak to 19 games with a draw against Bay FC in Cary, NC.

Casey Murphy had five saves for the Courage (10-8-2, 32 points), who played against expansion club Bay FC for the first time.

Asisat Oshoala scored in the ninth minute for Bay FC (8-11-1, 25 points), which is unbeaten in three straight games and two straight away games. Katelyn Rowland made one save for the visitors.

Oshoala gave Bay FC an early lead through a pass from Tess Boade. Sanchez equalised in the 28th minute, firing close to the left post after an assist from Denise O’Sullivan.

Both teams have secured a playoff spot, with six regular season games still to be played.
