Reactions to Missouri’s victory over Boston College

Reactions to Missouri’s victory over Boston College

The No. 6 Missouri Tigers showed in their victory over No. 24 Boston College that they still have room for improvement in many areas.

Check out the video below as Missouri football reporters Joey Van Zummeren and Michael Stamps share their off-the-cuff thoughts from the press box following Missouri’s Week 3 win.

The two discuss their thoughts on the slow start of the offense, the two takeaways from the defense, the role of momentum and the brilliant performances of wide receiver Luther Burden III, running back Nate Noel and kicker Blake Craig.

Even though Missouri didn’t play a flawless game, head coach Eli Drinkwitz made it clear that he thought this was an important game for the Tigers early in the season.

For the first time, the 2024 team faced a real challenge: adversity as a group when things didn’t go their way.

Missouri trailed 14-3 early in the second quarter. Boston College had a chance to tie the game within three possessions before a Tre’Vez Johnson interception turned the game on its head.

After Johnson’s first interception as a Missouri Tiger, the team went on a 21-0 run by the fourth quarter.

Missouri will look to get to 4-0 when it begins SEC play against Vanderbilt next Saturday.
