Three in Red Butte Garden

Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way in Salt Lake City, offers three shows this week in its summer concert series: Sunday at 7 p.m., blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr. performs with Suzanne Santo as the opening act; Tuesday, starting at 6:30 p.m., there’s a night of bluegrass and bluegrass-like bands with Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth and Leftover Salmon; and Friday, starting at 7 p.m., rock band OAR headlines with Fitz & the Tantrums as the opening act. Music and mindfulness in Park City

The Park City Song Summit takes place Thursday through Saturday at various locations in Park City. The three-day event combines workshops with musicians and songwriters, wellness activities and live evening concerts. Headliners for this year’s summit include folk band Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, indie rock band My Morning Jacket and soul/gospel legend Mavis Staples. Love the 80s

For fans of 1980s new wave music, there’s a three-show Friday and Saturday night at the Sandy Amphitheater, 1245 E. 9400 South, Sandy. Rockers Howard Jones (“Things Can Only Get Better”) and Martin Fry’s ABC (“Poison Arrow,” “The Look of Love”) headline, and both shows will be opened by British band Haircut 100, who haven’t toured the U.S. in more than 40 years.
