Team News: Jorginho is one of two changes at Spurs | Team News | News

Mikel Arteta has made two changes to his starting lineup for today’s derby against Tottenham and named Jorginho as captain.

The Italian will start in midfield as Declan Rice is suspended and Martin Odegaard is out with an ankle injury sustained while playing for Norway on Monday.

Riccardo Calafiori has also returned from playing for Italy with a calf injury and is out. The same problem means that Oleksandr Zinchenko has to sit out this game.

There is better news, however: Gabriel Jesus returns to the bench after a two-game absence, along with deadline-day signings Raheem Sterling and Neto.

For Spurs, Dominic Solanke and Micky van de Ven return to Tottenham’s starting line-up after missing the 2-1 defeat at Newcastle United two weeks ago through injury; Brennan Johnson is also back in the squad.

However, Yves Bissouma is missing after sustaining an injury while playing for Mali, while Richarlison is still out.
