New York Jets running back Braelon Allen (0) celebrates his touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in the second quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

Former Wisconsin Badgers star Braelon Allen caught his first touchdown pass as a member of the New York Jets from former Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers.

The 12-yard screen pass also results in the oldest player in the NFL (Rodgers, 40) throwing a touchdown pass to the youngest (Allen, 20). And that can happen many more times throughout the season.

Allen, who was selected to the All-Big Ten second team in the three seasons he played running back for the Badgers, was selected by the Jets in the fourth round in the 2024 NFL Draft. He had one run and one pass attempt in the Jets’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. He is the backup to starter Breece Hall, but some speculate that Allen’s role could increase as the season progresses.

Allen is the youngest NFL player to score a scrimmage touchdown in 94 years since former Green Bay Packers quarterback Arnie Herber did it in 1930. The men were exactly the same age when they accomplished the feat – 20 years, 239 days. Herber was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1966.
