JJ Watt reacts to Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr.’s monster start

ARIZONA – Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has turned the story surrounding his name on its head pretty quickly.

Last week, Harrison – who was selected No. 4 in this year’s draft – caught a pass for four yards, sparking a heated debate about whether or not Harrison would live up to expectations.

In one quarter of Week 2, Harrison made a handful of jaw-dropping plays, scoring 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Future NFL Hall of Famer JJ Watt had something to say about it.

“Thought everyone said Marvin Harrison Jr. wasn’t good after his very first game in the NFL?” he wrote on Twitter/X.

“130 yards and 2 TD in the first half today…”

The overreactions were hilarious after Harrison, who had only made three appearances in the preseason, made his first NFL appearance.

According to the Cardinals’ Mark Dalton, Harrison’s 130 receiving yards on 4 catches with 2 TDs were the most receiving yards by a Cardinals rookie in the first half since Ernie Jones had 137 on 4 catches against the Philadelphia Eagles on 12/10/88.

“I’ve been thinking a lot,” Harrison said after his debut.

“I definitely thought a lot out there and I think that will change with reps as I think less and just go out there and play. That will change with reps and I’ll get better at it, but I definitely say I thought a lot out there.”

Well, it looks like the newbie has finally found his feet.
