On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Denver Broncos. The final score of 13-6 suggested a close game, but the Steelers were largely in control and Denver’s late field goals kept the game even.

Here are our five key takeaways from the game.

I’m not attacking Justin Fields here. Personally, I think he’s done enough to keep his spot in the starting lineup. But for a player as athletic as him, he doesn’t seem that confident on planned runs.

The running game was impressive

The tandem of Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris did exactly what was expected of them. As co-starters, the two managed a combined 26 carries for 111 yards.

After allowing just 39 passing yards in the first half, the Steelers’ pass defense fell asleep in the second half. Fortunately, this lapse did not have a serious impact on the outcome of the game, but it is still concerning.

Unrest in the offensive

We are seriously concerned that the Steelers will not address these issues at offensive tackle quickly enough so that it doesn’t end up costing the team a win.

You are as good as your balance sheet

The Steelers are a perfect example of a team that does just enough to win and does nothing to lose. Is the team the most talented in the AFC North? Probably not, but when it comes to the regular season, you’re only as good as your record.
