Brazilian international Neymar has reportedly sent a letter to his “friends” at Real Madrid to warn them that playing with Kylian Mbappe is “hell”.

Neymar and Mbappe previously played together at Paris Saint-Germain and were part of a star-studded attack alongside Lionel Messi.

These three players were expected to lead PSG to their long-awaited Champions League triumph, but they continued to suffer heartache in the elite club competition.

The trio have moved elsewhere in recent years: Messi joined MLS team Inter Miami, while Neymar moved to the Saudi Pro League to sign with Al Hilal.

Hanouna said: “The Brazilians (at Real Madrid) are friends with Neymar. There has always been war between Neymar and Mbappe.

“Neymar sent a letter to the Brazilians about Mbappe, telling them it was catastrophic, it was hell.”

In September 2022, Mbappe admitted in an interview that his relationship with Neymar had been “sometimes volatile”.

“Our relationship has always been based on respect, but there have always been hotter and colder moments,” Mbappe admitted.

“There are times when we are, as you can see, the best friends in the world, and other times when we talk less. That’s the nature of our relationship, but there’s a lot of respect.”

He continued: “I have a lot of respect for the player he is, what he represents and what he means to our team.

“When you have two players with such strong personalities, life is not straightforward. It’s true that sometimes things happen, but it’s always respectful and in the interest of PSG.”

After Mbappe scored in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad at the weekend, Ancelotti said the striker was making “great progress”.

Ancelotti said: “I see him fresher, more active. He is very dangerous and harmonizes well with Vinícius and the strikers. He is making great progress. I really liked his game.”
