Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas was a name to keep an eye on early in the season.

So far, he’s on his way to becoming a household name, especially once you learn how to pronounce it (yo-SHE-vas). He only had two catches on Sunday against the Chiefs, but they were two great catches. Both times he was in the end zone. He only managed seven yards, but two touchdowns. That’s still 14 points in points-per-catch fantasy leagues.

It also shows that Iosivas will be a part of the Bengals going forward, especially in the future. Tee Higgins is a free agent after the season and with Jermaine Burton also coming into play, it’s possible that Iosivas will essentially become Higgins’ successor in 2025.

Comments from quarterback Joe Burrow further fueled rumors that Iosivas would play an important role for the Bengals in the future.

“He hasn’t done anything that would make me not trust him,” Burrow said, via the Bengals’ official website. “He just makes good plays in important situations and keeps getting better, trains really hard and we love what he does. He’s going to continue to be a big part of what we do here.”

Iosivas had just 25 targets in all of 2023 as a third-round rookie out of Princeton. Through two games in 2024, he already has 10 targets. Last season, he caught 15 passes for 116 yards and four touchdowns. This season, after two weeks, he has five catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns. He is already building more trust with Burrow, and that connection will only get stronger.
