The best Deadpool and Wolverine fights, ranked

When it comes to fast-paced action sequences, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has some of the best fight scenes. Whether it’s with the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, or solo heroes like Black Widow, there’s something for everyone. That’s why many were excited to see how Marvel Studios would capture the bloody essence of Dead Pool after the Fox takeover.



Full use of Deadpool and Wolverine The R rating for more extreme violence is a big change for the Disney brand. There are plenty of breathtaking fights when Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine face off in Deadpool and Wolverine. These are some of the best fights.


11 Wolverine beats Deadpool in “Age of Apocalypse”

Deadpool jumps through time and space to find a new Logan for his Earth-10005. He meets the Age of Apocalypse Wolverine variant played by Hugh Jackman. But just like the source material, this version of Logan doesn’t like to chat.


Age of Apocalypse Wolverine still has one arm, but he quickly grabs Wade, slams him around, smashes his face in and beats him up. It’s a funny scene that shows once again that Deadpool’s journey will not be easy. Especially It plays on nostalgia and that dark alternate reality in the comics where Wolverine loved to mutilate people.

“Marvel and I are not done with each other yet”: Shawn Levy hints that he will direct more MCU projects

Director Shawn Levy is hinting at his involvement in future MCU installments after (spoiler) paving the way for his return in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Deadpool also finds another Wolverine variant. This is Henry Cavill’s Cavillrine. He works on his motorcycle but is quick to extend his claws, effectively expressing his anger.


Cavillrine stabs and knocks Wade back through the portal. It’s a short but sweet fight, but given Cavill’s star power, he has been linked to the role as a Hugh Jackman replacement in the past. Fans loved seeing him move from Marvel to DC, a raw display of power that deserves respect and recognition.

9 Logan beheads Sabretooth

Tyler Mane returns as Sabretooth after his appearance in the first X-Men Film. He fights Wolverine in Borderlands of the Void. Deadpool promotes the rematch.

As the two attack each other, Wolverine quickly cuts off Sabretooth’s head. It’s a quick kill, but it shows the efficiency and ruthlessness of Weapon X. At this point in the first act, viewers know that this version of Wolverine isn’t going to play nice with anyone.

In the first fight between Deadpool and Wolverine in the Void, Wade chops up Logan with his katanas. He also shoots Wolverine a lot. Meanwhile, Logan wrestles with Deadpool, stabs him, and chops him up.

Bones are broken, limbs are crushed and much blood is shed. Since both men regenerate automatically, it is one of the most brutal fights in the MCUFortunately, it is being Fantastic Four Member who reminds the heroes that they must return to reality to save them.

Heads smash through windshields and windows, seat belts are used to bind and strangle, while the dashboard and seats become weapons in this confined space. Deadpool 3 However, director Shawn Levy does not overdo the aggressiveness. Levy carefully edits the sequence to show them arguing all night and then falling asleep in a hilarious climax.

Wade feels mentally drained after digging through his memories, while Wolverine knows it would be suicide to try to physically attack her. Luckily, they escape, but this fight teaches both men that they need support and unity to get the job done.


5 Cassandra Nova mutilates Johnny Storm

A big reason the heroes are worried about whether they can defeat Cassandra Nova is because she is facing Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm. At the same meeting outside her citadel, Deadpool outs Johnny for badmouthing Cassandra.

Johnny engages in a verbal exchange with Deadpool, but Cassandra beats him and reduces him to blood and bones. This sends the message to their army that any resistance will be met with immediate retribution. It subverts the expectations of fans who think Johnny would “Flame On!” in the most horrific way possible.

4 Deadpool’s Avengers destroy Cassandra Nova’s Legion


Deadpool and Logan recruit Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Dafne Keen’s X-23, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, and Channing Tatum’s Gambit to attack Cassandra’s base. These are basically the Avengers Wade always wanted, and they’re a devious unit. Blade uses his sword to dismember villains.

Elektra stabs people with her sais and Gambit uses his cards to blow people up. The crowning moment is when X-23 cuts off Juggernaut’s feet and brings his helmet to the heroes.. It’s a dynamic action experience that offers great fan service to fans of the old Marvel and Fox films.

Cassandra sends the heroes back with a sling ring. They end up fighting the Deadpool Corps, who don’t want them to stop Mr. Paradox’s Time Ripper. It is a one-shot sequence that resembles the iconic MCU hallway scenesHere Wade and Wolverine fight against a number of Deadpool variants.

Wolverine is dressed in his trademark suit, wearing his headgear and enjoying the kills that do justice to the comics, video games and cartoons. Wade adds a humorous touch to the film’s fight choreography. Thankfully, Peter gets the Corps to retreat as they regenerate, otherwise it might have been the end for the heroes.

The best brawl takes place in the opening when Wade is attacked by the Time Variance Authority trying to find the Adamantium corpse Logan to stabilize his reality. Instead, the TVA agents attack to stop Wade from tampering with the timeline. What makes the whole thing even more multidimensional is Wade’s improvisation and use of Logan’s metal bones as weapons.

The icing on the cake is that Deadpool produces a murderous medley set to “Bye Bye Bye” by *NSYNC. Agents lose their heads, limbs and more in a series of deaths that feel like they are from the Mortal Kombat franchise. Levy mixes action, comedy and body horror to produce a thrilling sequence that set the bar high for fight scenes in the MCU and dance scenes in general.

Deadpool & Wolverine is in theaters now.
