The Kills have unveiled a new EP, set to be released this Friday, September 20th. Happier Girl Sessions will feature non-electric versions of four songs from their 2023 album, God Gamesin addition to a cover of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.” As a preview, the duo Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince released their version of the Eilish hit today; stream it below.
Recorded in London, Happier Girl Sessions will be available in both digital format and 7-inch vinyl.

“It’s all Sirius XM’s fault,” Mosshart revealed in a statement. “We were asked to do an acoustic session with them last year and they asked for a cover as part of the session. I’ve always loved ‘Happier Than Ever’ and sang it all the time at home. It seemed like a good choice since I loved it and loved singing it.”
The Kills recently announced a series of headlining shows to make up for their opening dates for Queens of the Stone Age, which were canceled due to frontman Josh Homme’s health issues. They will play shows in Memphis, TN, Jackson, MS, New Orleans, LA and Florence, AL in the coming weeks, as well as appearing at the Soundside Music Festival in Connecticut and Festival Hipnosis in Mexico.
