My analysis
The Seattle Storm will be without Jewell Loyd and center Ezi Magbegor tonight, which is why the line has shifted so heavily toward the Las Vegas Aces. Maybe too far, because I still expect Seattle to take this game seriously and put up a real fight in front of their home fans.
Since the spread looks so unappetizing, the total is a much better target.
The Aces have allowed an average of just 73 points in their last eight games, and with Seattle missing its top scorer and another key starter, it will be difficult for the team to break that trend.
The Storm have had mixed results on defense so far this year, although they limited Las Vegas to just 65 points in the teams’ first meeting in June.
Seattle ranks fourth in the league in defensive rating (96.2 points per game). That number is often offset somewhat by the Storm’s fast pace of play – they’re second in the league in most tempo metrics – but it’s likely Seattle will rein in its offense without Loyd, resulting in fewer possessions.
Las Vegas has played shorthanded in seven of its last eight games, and both sides should take this game seriously and do their best defensively.

I’m going under and predicting a generous eight points for the Storm. Lower-scoring games tend to result in closer finals, and the Aces have won by nine points just once in the first three games between these teams this year – and that game was in Las Vegas.
I’m also tipping A’ja Wilson to hit the under mark on her scoring prop. The WNBA has never seen a scorer like Wilson, but I can’t expect her to score over 27.5 points in a tough road game late in the year. Wilson has only reached that total once in her last four games and has also stayed under that number in two of her three games against Seattle this season.
