The lawyer of a woman who has filed a civil suit against Diddy‘s youngest son, Christian “King” Combshas spoken out against the rapper’s arrest in a statement from her lawyer.

Grace O’Marcaigh, 25, accused King, 26, of sexually harassing her while she was working on a yacht in a lawsuit filed in April.

After Diddy (real name Sean Combs) was taken into custody this week, O’Marcaigh’s lawyer, Rodney S. Diggsdescribed the arrest in a statement to We weekly on Wednesday, September 18th.

“The long-awaited arrest of Sean Combs by federal authorities is the first step in getting justice for our clients,” Diggs said in the statement. “We will leave the criminal aspect of this case to the people and the justice system. As for the civil proceedings, we will wait until the facts come to light and we can get the justice our clients deserve.”

He added: “We also expect more victims to come forward. We knew this would happen. The evidence is clear and it was only a matter of time. This is an important step toward justice for all of Mr. Combs’ victims, including my clients. Justice will prevail.”

We weekly has reached out to a representative for Diddy for comment.

Diddy was arrested in New York on Monday, September 16. A 14-page indictment was released the following day, alleging that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him.” The rapper has since pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit organized crime, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

A New York judge denied Diddy bail on Tuesday, September 17, and he will remain in custody pending trial. On Wednesday, September 18, he lost an appeal to overturn the decision.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifiloinsisted on Diddy’s innocence in an interview with CNN The Source with Kaitlan Collins.

“He is innocent. I believe he is innocent. I believe he is innocent of the charges,” he said Tuesday. “He will be tried. And I believe he will win.”

In a lawsuit filed April 4 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, lawyers alleged that Diddy’s son, King, sexually abused O’Marcaigh while she was working on a yacht. The papers said the work environment was “sold as a wholesome family outing” but devolved into a “hedonistic environment.”

King was also accused of sexual harassment and infliction of emotional distress in the lawsuit. Diddy was sued in the same lawsuit for breach of duty of care for chartering the yacht and for aiding and abetting King’s alleged assault.

A few days later, a lawyer for Diddy and King hit back at the reports, sharply criticizing one of the lawyers representing O’Marcaigh.

In a statement to Us on April 8, lawyer Aaron Dyer warned the public to be skeptical about the allegations and pointed the finger at the plaintiff’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburnwho filed the lawsuit along with Diggs.

“We have not seen this woman’s claim, but I am sure we can expect the same kind of fabricated lies… just like we saw in Rodney Jones‘ lawsuit – which has not yet been served,” Dyer said in a statement to Us at that time.

“(Blackburn) was reprimanded by a federal judge in New York earlier this week for his ‘pattern of improperly filing cases in federal court to attract media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations and pressure them to settle quickly,'” Dyer continued.

Dyer referred to a court application by Judge Denise Cote This suggests that Blackburn had filed lawsuits in the past to attract media attention and pressure prominent defendants to settle quickly.

Blackburn has faced similar allegations in the past, including from lawyers who Nicki Minaj, TI And Tameka “Tiny” Harriswho accused him of participating in a “dirty blackmail campaign” to extort compensation from the artists.

“Two days after he was referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the Southern District of New York, it is interesting that he decided to file a new lawsuit in California,” Dyer’s statement concluded. “This is just another page from the same script, as we learned about this lawsuit the same way everyone learns about Mr. Blackburn’s lawsuits: through the media.”

King broke his silence on the matter on March 29, days after he was arrested by law enforcement and later released, posting a message on Snapchat that read, “Stop with the 🧢,” using the slang term “cap.”
