DEKALB, Ill. – Starting this fall, there will be two Huskie Apparel stores on the Northern Illinois University Athletics campus so Huskie fans can purchase exclusive products, team gear and new arrivals.

The Huskie Apparel Store will have a location in the NIU Convocation Center, which will be open during all Convo events starting this fall, as well as a location in the NIU Recreation Center. The Rec Center location, scheduled to open August 23, will be open Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

In addition to these permanent locations, apparel from the store can also be purchased at “The Yard” at all Huskie football home games and other select NIU home sporting events.

“We are very excited to make this store a reality starting this fall,” said Paige Shinberg, NIU’s associate athletic director for brand and equipment management. “We listened to our fans about what kind of apparel they would like to have, and that was our starting point. One of the key messages I heard is that our fans want Adidas products that match our teams’ apparel, and we look forward to providing them with the opportunity to purchase those products.”

In addition to Adidas products, including official team collections and replica jerseys, the Huskie Apparel Store also offers other exclusive apparel, including items featuring the Fighting Huskie throwback logo and other novelty items only available through the store.

The NIU Convocation Center is located near Entrance 1 in the northwest corner of the Convo, while the NIU Rec Center is located just past the main entrance. The Convocation Center is open this weekend for Brian Regan on Friday, August 9, and One Night of Queen on Saturday, August 10. Tickets for both shows are available at NIUHuskies.com/tickets.
