A first look into the production of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place was announced today during the Disney Channel premiere of Descendants – The Rise of Red. The post features behind-the-scenes moments with the series’ main cast, including David Henrie and Janice LeAnn Brown, as well as executive producer and guest star Selena Gomez. Fans of the franchise may also spot a familiar face: David DeLuise, who returns as a guest star in the role of Russo family patriarch Jerry Russo.
- Summary of the series: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to live a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman, and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie home and asks for help, Justin realizes he must brush up on his magical skills to mentor the apprentice wizard while also managing his everyday duties – and securing the future of the wizarding world.
