Assessment of the Jets’ 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday:

attack

The Jets covered 400 yards and didn’t manage a single three-and-out all night.

This is what we expected from this offense with Aaron Rodgers at the helm and numerous weapons.

Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes in the Jets’ victory on September 19. Charles Wenzelberg

Rodgers (27 of 35, 281 yards, 2 TDs, 118.9 QB rating) dismantled the Patriots defense with precision.

He got rid of the ball quickly throughout the evening and distributed it everywhere.

The offensive line was strong again and Rodgers was only sacked twice.

The running back combination of Breece Hall (16 carries, 54 yards, 1 TD) and Braelon Allen (11 carries, 55 yards) was impressive for the second week in a row.

Grade: A-

Special teams

Greg Zuerlein had a rare miss in the first half when his 42-yard field goal attempt went wide left.

In the return match, the Jets didn’t really get going.

They were strong in their kick coverage.

Thomas Morstead had a quiet evening with only three punts.

Coaching

Playing three games in eleven days was a difficult task for the Jets, but when the schedule came out, they would have agreed to a 2-1 score.

Robert Saleh and his team must be credited with mastering these first three games.

Jeff Ulbrich called a great play to slow down the Patriots defense.

He was more aggressive than usual and tried with all his might to stop the run.

Nathaniel Hackett got the Jets going from the start and the offense scored on two of their first three possessions.

Grade: B
