2 suspects sought for hate-motivated attack at St. Clair Station

The Toronto Police Department’s Hate Crimes Unit is asking for help in locating two suspects who allegedly attacked multiple victims at the St. Clair subway station late last month.

The incident occurred on July 26.

Toronto police said they were called to St. Clair Station at Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue around 10:40 p.m. for an assault.

Investigators said the suspects and an unspecified number of victims were on a subway train when an altercation broke out between the suspects and the victims and they attacked them.

The suspects were last seen leaving the station.

Police said one of the victims sought medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black woman with a large build, approximately 16 years old, 5’2″ tall, with short blonde hair. She also has a cross tattoo on her right hand, police said.

The second suspect is described as a woman with light skin and a slim build, she is approximately 16 years old, 1.57 m tall, has brown curly hair, a scar on her face and a tattoo on the left side of her neck.
