Tonight’s Phillies-Mets game will not be broadcast on NBC Sports Philadelphia. The same goes for Sunday’s game.

Despite Thursday night’s loss to the New York Mets, the Phillies would officially clinch a playoff spot with a win tonight at Citi Field. Unfortunately, fans won’t be able to watch the game on television.

It’s Friday night, which means you need to sign up for Apple TV+ to watch Game 2 of the Phillies’ four-game series against the Mets on Friday night baseball.

Apple’s exclusive MLB package, which is currently finishing its third season, offers two exclusive MLB games each week. In addition to Phillies-Mets, fans can also watch tonight’s American League duel between the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles.

The Phillies enter tonight’s game with a six-win lead with just nine games remaining. The Phillies need to win just two games against the Mets in their next three games and Philly will clinch its first NL East title since 2011. The only problem is that the Mets are the best team in baseball with a record of 16-4 over their last 20 games.

After the Mets, the Phillies have just two series left on their schedule. They return to Citizens Bank Park for a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs before heading down I-95 to Washington, DC to face the Nationals in their final three games of the regular season.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch or stream the Phillies this weekend:

Tonight: Phillies-Mets on Apple TV+

It is the third time this season that the Phillies have Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+, the tech giant’s subscription streaming service.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Cristopher Sanchez (10-9, 3.24 ERA) is scheduled to pitch for the Phillies against David Peterson (9-2, 2.85 ERA). Wayne Randazzo and Dontrelle Willis will provide commentary for today’s game for Apple TV+, with Heidi Watney reporting live from Citi Field. Two former MLB umpires – Dale Scott and Brian Gorman – will be on site to explain rules and critiques during the broadcast.

To watch the game, you’ll need to subscribe to Apple TV+, which currently costs $9.99 per month. Apple is offering new and existing subscribers a two-month free trial, which could save you money if you don’t plan on watching the game. Slow horses or other shows on the tech giant’s streaming platform.

You can complain about these streaming deals all you want, but they’re not going away. Apple’s deal with MLB runs through the 2028 season, and Roku will stream Sunday morning games on its free Roku Channel through 2026.

Apple TV+ offers the ability to listen to both teams’ local radio broadcasts, so if Phillies fans want to listen to Scott Franzke and Kevin Stocker on 94.1 WIP on Friday night, it’s just a click away.

Tom McCarthy will commentate on Saturday’s game on NBC Sports Philadelphia

It’s football season, but Tom McCarthy will be in the booth alongside Ben Davis on Saturday afternoon to commentate on Game 3 of the Phillies-Mets series on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

McCarthy is in his 17th season as the Phillies’ television voice and also does some NFL and college football commentary for CBS. However, he doesn’t have any college games scheduled this weekend and doesn’t plan on missing any more Phillies games during the regular season.

“I was supposed to be there in Week 4 of the NFL,” McCarthy said. “But because we’re so close to securing first or second place, hopefully not third, I think there’s going to be a few last-minute things that come up in the last week of the season that I want to be there.”

The first pitch for Saturday’s game is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. For the Phillies, Ranger Suarez (12-7, 3.13 ERA) will be on the mound on Saturday afternoon, facing Mets left-hander Sean Manaea (11-5, 3.26 ERA).

ESPN shows Phillies-Mets for “Sunday Night Baseball”

The final game of the Phillies-Mets series will be broadcast exclusively on Sunday night baseball, which ends its 35th season on ESPN.

Karl Ravech and analysts David Cone and Eduardo Pérez will commentate on the game. Buster Olney will report from Citi Field.

The first pitch on Sunday evening is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Phillies ace Zack Wheeler (16-6, 2.56 ERA) will be on the mound.

ESPN is also broadcasting all wild-card games this postseason, which the Phillies can avoid by winning the NL East and finishing the season with the best or second-best record in the National League. They currently have the best record, tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and are three games (plus tiebreakers) ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers.
