Cristiano Ronaldo playfully mocked his son in a light-hearted moment during Al Nassr’s final game – but it was Cristiano Jr. who had the last laugh.

The Portuguese superstar was leading the attacking line against Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq when he was given the chance to score from the penalty spot.

A message that will not surprise anyone: Ronaldo to give Al Nassr a 1-0 lead, but what caught the attention was his celebration.

The 39-year-old ran to the stands and saw his son watching.

Cristiano Jr. was in attendance after a brilliant day by his standards: the young player scored two goals for Al Nassr’s U15 team in a 4-0 win over Al Qadsiah.

With this in mind, CR7 couldn’t resist making a few family jokes as he pointed at the youngster.

With a big smile on his face, Ronaldo pointed to his son and then held up three fingers to indicate that he would try to surpass his efforts from earlier in the day.

Despite all his efforts and the fact that Al Nassr won 3-0 against Al-Ettifaq, the Portuguese superstar was not able to increase his points tally.

That meant Cristiano Jr. had the last laugh on a day that showed the football genes still run strong in the family.

While being Ronaldo’s son has its advantages, the teenager is an extremely talented footballer in his own right.

The 14-year-old currently plays for the U15 team of Al Nassr, where he has been since his father moved to Saudi Arabia almost two years ago.

He played for Real Madrid, Juventus and most recently Manchester United, but it remains to be seen whether Ronaldo Jr. will ultimately follow in his father’s footsteps and start a career in football.

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have talent. For example, there is a viral video in which Ronaldo Jr. demonstrates a spectacular free kick technique.

Ronaldo Sr. has remained calm about his son’s football ambitions and made it clear that he has no intention of putting pressure on him to continue his legacy in football.

“I will never put pressure on him. He will do what he wants,” Ronaldo Sr. said in 2022.

Rio Ferdinand reveals he turned up at Carrington on the day his ‘delicate’ interview with Cristiano Ronaldo was published

“What I want most for Cristianito and everyone else is that they are happy and can choose what they want. I will support them in every way I can.”

Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, recently passed the 900-goal mark for club and country and has expressed his desire to reach 1,000 goals before retiring – a wait that may see him cross paths with his son.

The 39-year-old said: “My son tells me: ‘Dad, wait a few more years, I want to play with you.'”

There is only one thing more terrifying than seeing Ronaldo playing for the opposing team: two Ronaldos.
