WICHITA, Kansas (KWCH) – A Wichita woman survives a 30-foot fall at Kanaoplis Lake State Park and has a teenager to thank for saving her life.
Paula Love-Moore was all smiles on Friday despite suffering numerous injuries, including a slow brain haemorrhage after a fall while doing something she loves.
“I remember putting my foot down and then scanning the area for the best way to get down,” Love-Moore said. “And that’s the last thing I remember.”
Love-Moore’s love of rocking horse hunting led him to Kanopolis. What was planned as a short excursion ended with a thirty-foot fall.
“I didn’t open my eyes once when I was on the ground,” she recalls. “I was awake when a voice said, ‘Help is on the way.'”
At her side is 16-year-old Ayden.
“A brave and courageous young man, my little angel. He should have been here at this very moment,” Love-Moore said. “Ayden, thank you so much for hearing my call and coming here to help me. I hope we meet in person one day so I can give you a big hug.”
Love-Moore suffered a slow brain hemorrhage, her back is broken in two places. She has bleeding on her spine and bruising.
Fortunately, she is expected to make a full recovery.
