India vs Bangladesh, 1st Test, Highlights Day 3: The light is not getting any better in Chennai, so the umpires have decided to call an early stumping. Bangladesh were at 158/4 before the bad light stopped play at Chepauk. Shakib Al Hasan (5*) and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (51*) will continue Bangladesh’s innings on Sunday.

Earlier, the Indian team had finished its second innings at 287-4, setting a target of 515 runs for Bangladesh.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s brilliant hundred and Jasprit Bumrah’s artistry with the ball saw the young Indians take the lead and hurt the visitors from Bangladesh. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant galloped to fluent hundreds as India’s lead crossed the 500-run mark in the second innings on the third day of the ongoing Test match.

Rishabh Pant scored 109 from 128 balls, including 13 boundaries and 4 sixes, before falling victim to Mehidy Hasan Miraz after the lunch break. Gill continued to put the Bangladesh bowlers under pressure, scoring his fifth Test hundred to anchor India’s second innings. Gill returned unbeaten with 119, while KL Rahul scored 22 not out.
