Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac 20, Detroit Community 12: Rohan Bailey rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown for Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac (1-3, 1-2 Charter Silver). James Harlan connected with Devontae Granderson for one of his six catches for the game-winning touchdown, while Alvin Wright threw an interception. Detroit Community is now 0-4, 0-3 in Charter School Conference Silver.
Dearborn Fordson 15, Livonia Franklin 14: Tasso Kotsogiannis led the way with 165 rushing yards on 22 carries, Nathan Patterson completed 3 of 8 passes for 117 yards and a passing touchdown, and Trevor Bennett had one catch for 69 yards and a touchdown for Fordson (2-2, 2-1 KLAA East). Livonia Franklin is 1-3, 1-2.
Detroit Central 64, Detroit Communication Media Art 0: Antoine Kimball completed 9 of 13 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns, Michael Reid ran for 274 yards for four touchdowns and gained 78 yards on four pass catches, and Allante Smith Jr. had 11 tackles with an interception for Central (2-2, 2-0 Detroit PSL Gold). Detroit CMA is now 0-4, 0-2.
Detroit Cody 42, Detroit Northwestern 6: Gary Humphries Jr. ran the ball 17 times for 302 yards and five touchdowns for Detroit Cody (3-1, 2-0 Detroit PSL Gold). Ken’Darius Rice added 70 yards on the ground and a fumble returned for a touchdown, while Abdurraziq Arman had 10 tackles, two for loss and an interception. Detroit Northwestern is now 0-4, 0-2 in the Detroit PSL Gold.
Detroit Denby 28, Detroit Pershing 8: Dreshaun Johnson led the way with 185 all-purpose yards and an interception, Shawntez Bowie Jr. had 205 all-purpose yards and Trevon Cottriell had 11 tackles and four pass breakups for Denby (2-2, 2-0 Detroit PSL Gold). Pershing falls to 3-1, 1-1.
Detroit Edison 32, Detroit University Prep Science & Math 12: Myles Matlock led the way with 7 of 10 passing for 205 yards and three passing touchdowns, Kayden Upshaw caught two of those touchdowns with his six catches and 150 receiving yards and Kenji Wyche brought in two interceptions for a total of 80 yards for Edison (2-2, 1-2 Charter Gold). Science & Math falls to 1-3, 1-2.
Harper Woods 28, Rochester Hills Stoney Creek 21: Johnny Nelson and Deandre Bidden scored touchdowns to lead Harper Woods to a victory over Rochester Hills Stoney Creek (1-3, 0-2 OAA White). Dakota Guerrant scored two touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown with 14 seconds left for Harper Woods (2-2, 1-0 OAA White).
Riverview 51, New Boston Huron 21: Ian Adams rushed for 101 yards on seven carries while Nathan Pinkava rushed for 50 yards on three carries with each scoring two touchdowns for Riverview (4-0, 3-0 Huron League). Lucas Thompson added three carries for 83 yards and an interception and Ashton Robinson had a 33-yard touchdown run and an interception in the win over New Boston Huron (1-3, 1-2 Huron League).
St. Clair Shores Lakeview 35, Utica 14: Eric Simmons led the way with eight carries for 179 yards and three touchdowns, Terrell McCurdy had six carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns and Logan Grubb had five tackles and a sack for Lakeview (1-3, 1-1 MAC White). Utica is now 1-3, 0-2.
