KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Happy Saturday, Bloggers,

Today is the last day of summer and it will feel like it this afternoon. Tomorrow at 7:43 am fall begins and it will feel like it as a strong cold front moves through during the morning.

The strong cold front is accompanied by a storm system coming out of the southwestern United States. These two factors combined will bring widespread, beneficial rain to most areas.

The Royals moved up the game’s start time to 4:10 p.m. today. That was probably a wise decision, as rain and thunderstorms are expected tonight. There may still be some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, so keep an eye on the skies if you’re at the “K” this afternoon.

K-State and KU are on the road today. Mizzou plays at Columbia at 3:15 p.m. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible there too, so keep an eye on the skies if you’re heading to the Mizzou game. It will also be very warm and humid.

The Plaza Art Fair is happening this weekend, along with many other outdoor events. Keep an eye on the skies if you’re out and about today and Sunday.

At what time will widespread rainfall and thunderstorms occur? How much rain will fall on your yard or farm?

For details, see the six-and-a-half minute video below.

Have a nice weekend.

Stay healthy.
