Findings

Marshall: The Thundering Herd were competitive early on. They made life difficult for Ohio State for much of the first half and went into the locker room trailing 28-14. But they couldn’t hold onto that lead in the second half, especially after quarterback Stone Earle went down with an injury in the third quarter.

Ohio State: The Buckeyes’ defense allowed some long drives in the first half of their final preseason game before the Big Ten schedule begins, but their arsenal of offensive weapons was on full display and the Herd couldn’t keep up.
