Nicki Minaj criticizes Steve Stoute over claims about a Tidal deal with Jay-Z

Apparently, Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z’s tensions are much greater than most initially thought. After Kendrick Lamar was announced as the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show, the “FTCU” rapper took to X (formerly of Twitter) to criticize Jay-Z for being involved in “rejecting” Lil Wayne.

According to Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z never paid her for the deal with his former streaming platform Tidal. Yesterday (September 20) during an appearance on The Pivot PodcastRecord manager Steve Stoute claimed that wasn’t the whole story because she “never signed the documents sent to her.” Now Nicki Minaj has criticized Steve Stoute for meddling in the matter and revealing more details about the much-publicized deal.

“Every day a new man, almost 60 years old, is fingered in the kitchen and then tricked into coming online and lying to me,” she says. wrote. “God is in control. Bookmark this. I advise all of you never to mention my name again.”

She then provided insight into reports that she received payment after purchasing the streamer. “I received a call telling me that Tidal was sold and they weren’t making any money on the deal so they could only offer me $1 million,” she wrote. “But wait, there’s more. The lawyer informed me that Desirat told him that IF I WANTED THE $1 million I HAD to sign the agreement within 24 hours or the ‘offer’ was off the table. Listen to the end of “Fractions” to hear what my response was.”

Nicki also reposted a clip (see Here) by Cam’Ron and Mase, where they made a similar claim to reports that they had partnered with Fanatics, another company affiliated with Jay-Z.
