Cup points standings after the Bristol race

Cup points standings after the Bristol race

Kyle Larson dominated and won the Bass Pro Shops Night Race in Bristol on Saturday, while Daniel Suarez struggled all night and only finished in 31st place.

Both reached the round of 12 of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs on Saturday.

Larson (by victory) and Suarez (by points) were among the twelve drivers who still have hopes of winning the championship after the first round.

Ty Gibbs, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski and Harrison Burton were eliminated from the playoffs after the Bristol race. Gibbs was unable to recover from a pit stop penalty in the first stage, and Truex had similar problems after a pit stop penalty at the final stop.
