OFFICIAL STARTING POSITION FOR THE 2024 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX: Who starts where in Marina Bay

It’s the front row in Singapore that so many have wanted to see. A resurgent world champion firmly back in contention, with his arch-rival on pole. So that’s McLaren’s Lando Norris P1 and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen P2 for the start of Sunday’s Grand Prix at Marina Bay.

The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell start in encouraging third and fourth places, while Oscar Piastri takes a disappointing fifth place on the grid after the Australian could not find the pace in his McLaren that teammate Norris had so spectacularly achieved.

There was no disappointment in sixth place either: Nico Hülkenberg’s excellent performance in Q3 for Haas brought him sixth place ahead of two-time world champion Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin and the RB machine of Yuki Tsunoda.

And what about Ferrari, you ask? The red cars of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz complete the top ten. The former had his best qualifying lap deleted for exceeding the track limits and the latter crashed in Q3 without setting a time.

Just outside the top half, Williams is again aiming for double points, as Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto start from 11th and 12th place. And what can Sergio Perez do in Red Bull’s sister car? The Mexican ended up in an unfortunate 13th place after a “nightmarish” qualifying in Singapore.
