Vikings occupy surprising power ranking spot before Week 3

Vikings occupy surprising power ranking spot before Week 3

It’s no secret that the Minnesota Vikings are one of the league’s most surprising teams after their 2-0 start to the season. While many would have predicted the Vikings to come into the game with a 1-0 start against the New York Giants, few would have seen them undefeated after a matchup with NFC high-flyers, the San Francisco 49ers.

But that’s exactly where the Vikings are before their game in Week 3 against the Houston Texans. While some still doubt the Vikings and their position in the league, one NFL analyst currently seems to be fully committed to the team.

In his latest rankings, Fox Sports NFL analyst Bucky Brooks has the Vikings surprisingly ranked high. After a surprise win over the 49ers, Brooks has the Vikings at No. 4, just behind the Kansas City Chiefs, the New Orleans Saints – another contender for the title of the league’s most surprising team to start the season – and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Minnesota goes into week three’s game against the Texans with some significant questions at the wide receiver positionBoth Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are recovering from injuries and their status is uncertain. If Minnesota can pull off the win and move their season record to 3-0, it will be interesting to see how Brooks views them going forward.
