Atlanta is known for fashion, and the Chiefs players match their pre-game style

Atlanta is known for fashion, and the Chiefs players match their pre-game style

GQ once called Atlanta “one of the most exciting fashion cities of all time.”

The Chiefs players took that to heart from the minute they arrived in Atlanta on Saturday before the “Sunday Night Football” game against the Falcons.

They played their best (Atlanta) game.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes stepped off the plane on Saturday with a strong GQ look. He wore a smart, double-breasted pinstripe suit with tone-on-tone stripes, a powder blue tie and a white three-pointed pocket square, also with a blue border.

Fans thought it was a great look for the two-time NFL MVP.

Taylor Swift fans started joking as soon as they saw her teammate Travis Kelce right behind her.

Swift’s boyfriend strutted around in all black, his eyes hidden behind $435 square-frame sunglasses by Balenciaga.

The tight end wore black pants and a loose, boxy black double-breasted blazer by Lemaire ($1,090), according to Style By Kelce Instagram.

Swifties wanted to believe that the outfit was a reference to the singer’s 2017 album “Reputation,” as she wore all black during the Reputation leg of her massive Eras tour.

Fans were divided over Kelce’s comfortable travel shoes — black mules without a heel strap ($695, @FearOfGod) — with some complaining that they looked like slippers.

People magazine identified his baseball cap as a “vintage 1998 Zeus & Miles baseball cap emblazoned with ‘HE GOT GAME,’ a tribute to Spike Lee’s film of the same name.”

Safety Justin Reid wore a three-piece suit. Kicker Harrison Butker also wore a suit as usual.

Less formal was guard Trey Smith, who wore a “Hellstar” T-shirt, and his other teammates also wore T-shirts.

Creed Humphrey got out the duct tape again, but this time he wore a jacket with his special t-shirt. If things keep up, he’ll surely go through a whole roll of duct tape by the end of the season.

Kelce’s Sunday addition

When Kelce arrived at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, he jazzed up his all-black ensemble with a black tie and swapped his airplane shoes for red Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro “Legend of the Summer” sneakers, according to Style by Kelce. (Minor quibble: His pants were too short for those shoes.)

The Chiefs shared a photo on X that’s a clever nod to Swift’s speech at the MTV Video Music Awards last week.

When she and Post Malone won Video of the Year for their hit “Fortnight,” Swift noticed Kelce applauding after each take during filming.

“Everything this man touches turns into happiness, fun and magic, so I want to thank him for bringing that to our shoot,” she gushed.

Chiefs wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice also wore suits; one red, one blue.

Here are some more photos of players.
