Three things are certain in life: death, taxes, and the NFL world’s underestimation of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Whether in team power rankings, top 100 player lists, PFF rankings, Madden ratings, or individual player awards, the Pittsburgh Steelers are consistently underestimated in their actual play compared to their poor rankings.

Steelers fans can see the truth of this statement by checking out this week’s NFL Power Rankings on social media.

There are currently only nine undefeated teams in the NFL, and only three of those teams have a top-five defense. The Steelers meet both criteria, but not only are they ranked 14th, but the Ravens, who may be 0-3 in a week, are ranked 9th.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will try to ignore the outside noise and doubters as they prepare to face a fellow undefeated team, the Los Angeles Chargers, in Week 3.
