The 49ers are hearing it from all sides after they blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

San Francisco, which fell behind 27-24 after taking a 24-14 lead early in the fourth quarter, was on its way to a Week 3 win over LA, according to ESPN’s win probability chart. The Rams had the last laugh, however, sharing a screenshot of the graphic on social media after the game-ending drama to rub salt in the 49ers’ wounds.

The Rams’ social media administrator had some fun with this.

The Rams weren’t in the game until the bitter end, but that shouldn’t have mattered as the 49ers wasted several chances. Analysts were convinced the visiting team would emerge victorious.

The surprise loss was nothing short of a collapse for the 49ers. Despite being plagued by injuries, San Francisco held a double-digit lead, quarterback Brock Purdy made history with another outstanding performance, and wide receiver Jauan Jennings scored three touchdowns.

And the battered Rams remembered what analysts had said before the game about their badly injured team.

The 49ers should now be leading 2-1, but a series of mistakes has caused the Rams to climb out of their graves. San Francisco’s wideouts were responsible for 75 percent of Purdy’s incomplete passes, six of them drops, and the special teams let the team down in key situations.

The Rams are certainly enjoying the moment and are collectively rubbing it in the 49ers’ faces.
