Tom Brady is still in his early stages as an NFL commentator and received a lot of criticism on Sunday for his unspectacular analysis of Lamar Jackson.
The Ravens quarterback ran into the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown in the first quarter against the Cowboys, and Brady gave a fairly banal assessment of the play.
“How fast is Lamar? Fast,” he said.
And the fans were not impressed by this collapse.
“Tom Brady states the obvious like he’s making a groundbreaking discovery,” someone said on X.

Another fan referred to Brady’s lucrative 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox.
“Give this guy another $40 million,” they said.
Brady’s debut as a Fox Sports commentator in Week 1 was a bit rocky.
When he commented on the Cowboys’ victory over the Browns, he was mocked early on by some fans because he once awkwardly stated, “10 yards is hard, but 20 yards is really hard.”
He acknowledged before Week 2 that there were “some things to clean up.”
However, he received better reviews in his second game when he returned to the locker room for the Cowboys-Saints.
Brady made his game debut for Fox Sports earlier this month alongside Kevin Burkhardt
“Tom Brady is looking much more comfortable and natural in the locker room this week than he did in Week 1,” wrote one user on X.
“The best moment of Tom Brady’s career as a young commentator just happened,” reads another post. “After Cowboys’ rookie WR slips, leading to INT, Burkhardt asks if Prescott should revert to rookie WR to rebuild his confidence. Brady: “Not today.”‘
“I’m sorry to report that Tom Brady is offering some good, non-cliche insight today,” said another tweet in Week 2. “He sounds relaxed and confident and like he might even be having fun. Who would have thought: The murderously ambitious guy might end up being good at it.”
Brady will be in Tampa Bay in Week 4 to attend his former team’s clash with the Eagles.
