SB Nation Reacts to Results: Bye-Week Record Predictions for the Vikings

SB Nation Reacts to Results: Bye-Week Record Predictions for the Vikings

We have the results of our SB Nation Reacts poll for this week, where we ask fans what they think about issues that matter to the Minnesota Vikings, so let’s take a look at the results.

Our first question, as always, was how confident everyone is that the Vikings are heading in the right direction. After what most would call a surprise win over San Francisco, that confidence continues to rise.

This week, a whopping 97% of poll respondents believe the team is heading in the right direction. I hope that confidence levels stay relatively high even if the team loses this weekend, but given what we’ve seen of these things in the past, a loss would send that number plummeting.

We also asked what everyone thought about the Vikings’ record during the bye week they’ll have after their game in London in Week 6. People seem pretty optimistic about that, too.

A majority of respondents, 53%, believe the Purples will lose one of their next three games and enter the off week with a 4-1 record. 30% believe they will lose two of three games (which is bad) and enter the off week with a 3-2 record, while 15% believe they will enter the off week undefeated. Then there’s the 2% who believe the Vikings will enter the off week with a three-game losing streak and enter it with a 2-3 record, which is the worst possible.

Personally, as a homer, I believe there’s no reason they can’t go into the bye at 5-0, especially if Brian Flores’ defense continues to perform as it has. But maybe I’m being too optimistic… people haven’t accused me of that much. Our friends at FanDuel probably won’t have them as favorites in the next three games, but I think that’s how we like it.

That’s our SB Nation Reacts results for this week, folks. Thanks to everyone who took the time to take our poll, and we’ll be back next week with a new one!
